Vietnam is transforming rapidly and powerfully
(TITC) – Recently, the prestigious American newspaper The New York Times ranked Vietnam 34th on its list of the 52 best places to visit in the world in 2026. Vietnam was also recognized as a rapidly transforming tourism hub, offering increasingly diverse and high-quality experiences for visitors.
International visitors are granted visa exemptions when traveling to Phu Quoc.
According to The New York Times, Vietnam – a rising tourism star in Southeast Asia – attracts millions of visitors annually thanks to its renowned cuisine, diverse and majestic landscapes stretching from towering mountain ranges to lush tropical forests, as well as its rich historical and cultural heritage. Notably, major investments in tourism infrastructure scheduled for completion this year demonstrate Vietnam’s strong determination to elevate the quality of visitor experiences and prepare for a growing wave of international arrivals.
Of particular significance, Long Thanh International Airport is expected to complete Phase 1 and begin operations in June 2026. It is anticipated to become a major aviation hub of the country, with the capacity to serve tens of millions of passengers annually, playing a vital role in connecting Vietnam to the global tourism market.
Alongside transportation infrastructure development, leading international luxury hotel brands are expanding their presence in Vietnam. Notable examples include the first Park Hyatt resort in Phu Quoc, Four Seasons Hotel in Hanoi, and Nobu Hotel in Da Nang, contributing to the enhancement of high-end accommodation systems, diversification of tourism products, and better meeting the varied demands of travelers.
Importantly, the Vietnamese Government has also introduced favorable visa policies, particularly expanding visa exemptions and extending visa durations for citizens of many countries, making travel to Vietnam more flexible and convenient.
The country’s potential, advantages, resources, and new growth drivers clearly reflect the comprehensive upgrading of Vietnam’s tourism sector – from infrastructure and accommodation facilities to traveler-friendly policies – reaffirming the appeal of a dynamic, integrated destination that continues to strengthen its position on the global tourism map.
